If you want to maintain a healthy and consistent schedule that is successful for you, the workout partner you pick does matter.

Discipline is one quality that should be a highlight. If the person your working out with has some discipline skills, it will be easy to make a schedule for the gym and stick to it. Not having to pry and keep reminding your partner to come at the right times is beneficial. It reduces stress as well as makes it easy to get muscle building results.
Having consistent motivation is something you and your partner should possess. This is what keeps you going to the gym on those days you don't feel like getting up.
