Working Out To Feel Happier
This is something commonly experienced by football players because of all the weight lifting and training they have to do. The feeling of euphoria and just plain feeling good and stress free has been related to training and working out our your body. It doesn't matter if all you do is lift or are on an intense parkour/free running regimen. People generally are more happy and enjoy their life when it involves mild to intense workouts.
For me personally, I did feel better when I was in the zone as far as weight lifting and playing basketball go. I do feel good when there is no feeling of laziness and uselessness. Feeling in shape is a huge emotional booster that can benefit any person on the planet. As long as your not injuring yourself, having a healthy exercise plan should be given major thought.
For many people it's all about having a sense of accomplishment. To look at the biological side of it, your brain releases chemicals that allow you to forget about problems and stressors. Most of the time you're also going to be more social in a gym. Most people treat their workout time as a way to let their emotions out as well as talking about things that are stressing them. To get this good feeling you don't necesarily need to be in a social environement, but it will enhance the overall experience.
Time and time again I have heard many people talk to their fellow lifting partners, or just people who are around them, about any range of things. It is almost like a therapy session for your mind and body. You can get yourself back in line for whatever it is you're trying to accomplish with the rest of your life as well. Sometimes people just need an outlet. If you can get that outlet in a workout area with people around, the benefits on your mind, body, and spirit are great.
Even for this article I am writing, I had done some push ups to get in the right mindset for writing. This is one of calmness and extreme focus with a relaxed approach. Some days you may just need some music to go along with an exercise routine. Whatever the case is, millions and millions of people find strength in having some kind of daily or bi-daily schedule to work on their bodies. It is a plus if you can mix this workout with people in order to get social interaction.
It is natural to talk and participate in activities with other people. Human nature lets us feel good doing this. Can you imagine if nobody every did anything together? It would make for a terrible place to live where there was no collaboration and we would feel very sad most of the time. An example I would like to share is my girlfriend. Currently she lives about 30 minutes away from me. The only times when I can tell she feels true happiness is while she works (with other people) and when we hang out.
The majority of her free time is spent reading or watching TV along. This is not going to stay like this forever though. Once we have enough money to go get our own place and settle down, I assure you we will be doing lots of things to get this natural euphoric stimulus for each other.
In the long run, it also makes it 100 times easier to say in shape and keep fat off your body if you are working out daily and have weekly plans to be active. Most of the time, finding people you get along with during your activities is going to make it easier to maintain long term results.
